5 Trends From The Best Of Bollywood To Make You Stand Out This Wedding Season

Is it just us or have you been hearing wedding bells everywhere too? Most of us have weddings to attend this season, whether your own, of your siblings or those of your friends. A little inspiration from our favourite celebrities is going to go a long way while planning your looks for this season.

Here are five trends by our favourite Bollywood celebrities to aspire to:

Benarasi Silk Anarkali

The rich and lustrous weave of Benaras has been adopted by top designers like Sabyasachi Mukherji and Manish Malhotra. This year saw our favourites - Twinkle Khanna and Sridevi adorning themselves in beautiful Benarasi anarkalis by Manish Malhotra at Ekta Kapoor's Diwali party.

2) Forever Floral

Whether dainty and feminine or vintage and classic, the 'floral print' is one trend we never want to see go out of fashion! The stunning Bipasha Basu wore a fresh pink Anushree Reddy lehenga for her Mehendi ceremony. She added beachy waves and floral jewellery that made her look like a bohemian princess. On the other hand, Sonam Kapoor took this floral Sabyasachi outfit to an ultra glamorous level by adding layers of pearls and completed the look with a slick hairdo.

3) Whites and Ivory

Our fashion A-listers prove that 'white' is no longer a day colour. Alia Bhatt wore a dreamy white outfit to Masaba Gupta's wedding reception and garnered praise for her fresh look. On the other hand, Mira Rajput attended the same event in a delicate ivory net sari. As far as fashion forecasts go, 'white' is definitely the new 'black' this season.

4) Monotones

We have seen bright monotones trending for a while. Designer Masaba Gupta took the 'less is more' approach with her pink Raw Mango wedding lehenga and navaratan jewellery for her sangeet ceremony. Anushka Sharma stuck to an all green outfit with minimal accessories for 'When Harry met Sejal' promotions.

5) Many tones, and many colours!

If there is a list on fashion, it has to include Sonam Kapoor. Sonam Kapoor went all out with bling and colour in a multi-colour outfit and traditional statement jewellery at friend Sasha Rawal's wedding. On the other hand, Sophie Chaudhary kept it soft and wore a gorgeous orange lehenga with red, pink and fuschia accents at Bipasha Basu and Karan Singh Grover's wedding reception.

So this wedding season, dress sharp and keep an eye out for all things beautiful!
